Principles of Lean Food Production with LIVE Simulation
Reduce Lead Times — Reduce Waste — Improve Quality — Improve Productivity
Principles of Lean Food Production with LIVE Simulation is an eight-hour workshop that combines comprehensive classroom presentation with hands-on experience in a simulated production facility. NJMEP offers this introduction for food processors in pursuit of production process improvements. In this workshop, NJMEP introduces the basic concepts of lean manufacturing and demonstrates the tools and methodology necessary to implement “lean” on the production floor. Lean techniques and terminology has been customized for the food industry and participants are involved in the learning process by taking roles in a simulated food operation.
Participants will gain an understanding of the non-value added activities in manufacturing and learn how to improve productivity by applying standard work, visual controls, set-up reduction, batch size reduction, point-of-use storage, quality at the source, pull systems and more.
“I would not have believed the improvements we made without being part of the process!”
“Great introduction but even our experienced staff learned a lot!”
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn the lean process improvement technology that can improve quality and productivity by reducing waste and product lead-time. Take your first step to becoming lean and sign up today using the fax back registration form.
