Measuring OEE (Operational Equipment Effectiveness) is the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity. This course will help you identify the percentage of manufacturing time that is truly productive. OEE is a great metric for identifying losses, benchmarking progress, and improving the productivity of manufacturing equipment (i.e., eliminating waste). Learn how adopting effective use of available time by eliminating or reducing the 8 wastes can have profound impacts on productivity and daily output. Focus on using your time wisely not running faster. Because faster is not always better.
TPM goes far beyond traditional maintenance boundaries to attack equipment related waste, including downtime, speed losses, defects, constant adjustments, and breakdowns. This class offers a method to proactively maintain machines and equipment at their peak productivity. Participants will gain an understanding of TPM and its major components, including how to measure and increase overall equipment effectiveness and how TPM can help avoid interruptions to production. The course also provides a comprehensive understanding of the seven steps of autonomous maintenance.
Participants will experience the benefits of implementing OEE and TPM. The class participants will learn how OEE and TPM increases overall equipment effectiveness and how it can help avoid interruptions to production. Also, how OEE and TPM reduces equipment related waste including downtime, speed losses, defects, constant adjustments, breakdowns, etc.
