Beacon Converters Inc., founded in 1947, is a third-generation family-owned and operated packaging manufacturer for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. As medical packaging requirements evolve, Beacon’s sights are on the horizon, continually focusing on improvements in packaging technology, materials, and quality systems.
Beacon understands the critical attributes of the sterile barrier system that affect the device and sterile packaging system. Our technology team works directly with the customer to understand the specific requirements of their product, including safety and protection, barrier, durability, package and seal integrity, visibility and appearance, processing and printing.
Beacon’s focus is on quality systems, a comprehensive continual improvement creating specialized sterile barrier systems for the most demanding applications. Medical grade materials include Dupont™ Tyvek®, single and multilayer films, medical grade paper, and laminations containing foil, paper and film.
Beacon is a sustaining member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a founding member of the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC), and an active participant in the SPMC technical committee working to standardize test methods and develop industry guidance. Beacon President, Jackie Daly Johnson, also serves as Co chair of AAMI WK Group 7 on Packaging and US expert on the ISO committee governing the international standards on medical device packaging ISO 11607 & 16775.
