SUMMARY:Food Recall & Withdrawals Online (November 2020)
DESCRIPTION:“A food recall is either a food manufacturer or suppliers’ voluntary response to a mislabeling\, or potential hazard by removing a product from the market place or it is mandated by the FDA in response to a food safety issue determined. The most common reasons for food recalls are allergen mislabeling and the presence of pathogens. Other reasons behind food recalls include incorrect packaging\, wrong food labels and physical contamination.\nThe importance of having a food recall plan is to ensure quick and efficient removal of affected products from the market plane and to allow the identification of key areas of needed improvement to prevent future hazards. Recall and withdrawal procedures are required for food manufacturers under the final FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule for “Preventative Controls for Human Foods for hazards requiring control.”

SUMMARY:cGMP Online (January 2021)
DESCRIPTION:“Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Regulations is the process that ensures the quality of a product by establishing manufacturing procedures\, ensuring that food is safe and has been prepared\, packed\, and stored under hygienic conditions. They describe the methods\, equipment\, facilities\, and controls for producing processed food. These had major updates with FSMA in 2015\, from section 110 to being recently archived and now replaced with section 117 in the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).Upon the successful completion of this course\, student assessments will demonstrate competencies and measurable skills in the following areas: \nHow to apply and build the components and requirements of cGMP within the food and beverage industry.\nImplement cGMPs through the organization to ensure sanitary and processing requirements are being met.\nHow to conduct an internal audit that covers all necessary departments to report and observe relevant findings. A certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the course and test.”

SUMMARY:NJMEP's Virtual Supply Chain Training Series
DESCRIPTION:NJMEP has put together a series of educational webinars defining and exploring the supply chain management business concept for small to medium size manufacturing organizations and their personnel.\nOrganizations no matter what size are involved in hundreds of supply chain processes requiring a cross-departmental and cross-organizational collaboration. Supply Chain Management is a new way of managing business focusing on processes from cradle-to-cradle or cradle-to-grave rather than on functions.\nThe term Supply Chain Management has been all over the news during the pandemic. It is critical that business leaders and their staff understand what it is\, how to implement it\, and how to manage supply chains.\nNJMEP’s Supply Chain series offers participants a good understanding of the concept to begin introducing supply chain management into their organizations.\nSupply chain management has proven over and over again that it;\n	Increases Sales\n	Increases Competitiveness\n	Increases Profit Margins\n	Reduces Costs\nTraining will be facilitated in four-hour virtual training sessions on four separate dates.\nThe Segments to be covered are:\n1.	Defining A Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management\n2.	How to Play in The New Supply Chain Sandbox\n3.	Streamlining Your Procurement Area\n4.	Making the Most of Transportation and Logistics\n5.	Moving the Organization from Silos to Collaboration\n6.	Supply Chain Management and Risk\n7.	Technology and Supply Chain Management\n8.	Reducing Costs and Finding Savings in Our Supply Chains

SUMMARY:FSPCA Preventative Controls for Human Food
DESCRIPTION:“FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course\nThe final rule for “Preventive Controls for Human Food” which was released in September 2015 to support the implementation of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requires food facilities to have a written food safety plan in place that includes an analysis of hazards and risk-based preventive controls to minimize or prevent the identified hazards. \nThe following course\, Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF)\, will go in depth with the requirements for Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls based food safety plan training. Participants will get familiar with all requirements of a Preventive Controls based food safety plan and how to design the plan. \nIn addition\, best practices and examples will be presented and participants can apply the freshly gained knowledge during practical exercises which show how to achieve compliance to the requirements. \nBy the end of the training course\, participants will be able to oversee or perform the following: \nCreating a Preventive Controls Food Safety Plan\nValidating preventive controls\nReviewing records for implementation and effectiveness\nReviewing corrective actions\nPerforming required re-analysis of the Food Safety Plan\nThe course\, developed by the FSCPA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by the FDA. This will be delivered by Lead Instructor (certificate #a37c4bbf) for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course. In addition to the FSPCA course completion requirements\, our delivery will require passing an exam\, then the participant will receive a certificate. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)”. \nThe course is designed for: \nManagers\nOwners\nOperators\nQuality Control Personnel\nFood Safety Personnel”
