SUMMARY:Food Recall & Withdrawals Online (November 2020)
DESCRIPTION:“A food recall is either a food manufacturer or suppliers’ voluntary response to a mislabeling\, or potential hazard by removing a product from the market place or it is mandated by the FDA in response to a food safety issue determined. The most common reasons for food recalls are allergen mislabeling and the presence of pathogens. Other reasons behind food recalls include incorrect packaging\, wrong food labels and physical contamination.\nThe importance of having a food recall plan is to ensure quick and efficient removal of affected products from the market plane and to allow the identification of key areas of needed improvement to prevent future hazards. Recall and withdrawal procedures are required for food manufacturers under the final FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule for “Preventative Controls for Human Foods for hazards requiring control.”

SUMMARY:DoD Cybersecurity - Are You Meeting Current CMMC Requirements?
DESCRIPTION:DoD Cybersecurity – Are You Meeting Current CMMC Requirements? \nJoin NJMEP for a brief webinar to discuss the current CMMC changes.\nLearn how these changes impact you and what you need to get DoD contracts\, including:\n• The notable changes to CMMC 2.0 and why they matter.\n• Your current DFARS Requirements\n• How DIB contractors can prepare for these upcoming changes.\n• Future planning to get\, and remain\, in compliance.\nEvery manufacturer in the Defense Industrial Base must be compliant with CMMC Version 2.0 Update within the next few months. The time is now to prepare for stricter data protection regulations that will be required in your contracts. This cyber security program not only is required for DoD business you will have an enhanced environment to gain the trust of customers and increase your revenue.\nThe CMMC 2.0 is the most recent version of the DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Built on a foundation of NIST SP 800-171\, the CMMC 2.0 establishes three certification levels that reflect the maturity and reliability of a company’s cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard sensitive government information on the contractors’ systems. Under CMMC\, a contractor must be certified to be eligible to bid on\, win or participate on a contract.\nWithout a valid CMMC certification the prime and/or sub will be barred from the contract (May 2023 is the target date for contract inclusion). Unlike previous requirements to be NIST SP 800-171 compliant\, under CMMC the contractor can NOT self-certify.
