SUMMARY:Virtual - Supervisory Skills for Managers
DESCRIPTION:Moving into a position of authority means meeting new challenges\, taking on new responsibilities\, and mastering new skills. It may also mean learning to manage across cultural and language differences. New Managers can often be overwhelmed by new responsibilities and anxious about the transition from “coworker” to “boss.”\nWorkers who have recently become supervisors often worry about the way others will react to their new supervisor status … have concerns about keeping up with a tougher workload … and wonder how to handle the new tasks they will be faced with: hiring\, disciplinary action\, managing change\, even firing.\nA program to ease the transition …\nThis supervisory training course was specifically designed to address the needs of anyone who is new to managing others\, with a special focus on those managing in a multicultural workplace. The content of this course will provide a powerful new set of skills\, strategies\, and techniques for dealing with the issues you will encounter as you take on your new position and move forward in your career.\nYou will find out how to relate well to former peers who are now your subordinates\, and you’ll learn the communication skills that will help you handle these changing relationships in a way that’s comfortable for everyone. You’ll discover secrets for motivating and encouraging people to do their “personal best” for you\, and find out how to discipline firmly and fairly\, without creating resentment. This supervisory training will show you how to positively influence the behavior of your workers.\nIn this workshop you’ll learn:\nHow to communicate more effectively as a new supervisor\nWhen to be flexible\, and when to stand firm\nHow to build trust and gain respect\nStrategies for motivating others to achieve results\nThe truth about discipline — how to handle uncomfortable situations\nWhat every new supervisor and manager should know about hiring and firing\nTime management skills that really work\nAnd much\, much more!

SUMMARY:OSHA 10-Hour Card Training
DESCRIPTION:OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is responsible for worker safety and health protection.\nSince its inception in 1970\, OSHA has cut the work-fatality rate by more than half\, reduced the overall injury and illness rates in industries where OSHA has concentrated its attention\, virtually eliminated brown lung disease in the textile industry and reduced trenching and excavation fatalities by 35 percent.\nOSHA is administered through the Department of Labor (DOL). The DOL regulates and enforces more than 180 federal laws. These mandates and the regulations that implement them cover many workplace activities for about 10 million employers and 125 million workers.\nOSHA 10-hour training is the primary method used to train workers on hazard recognition and OSHA safety standards. The OSHA 10-hour course for the general industry is for workers who have jobs related to health care\, electrical\, factory\, warehouse\, manufacturing\, storage and more. This OSHA course covers general industry hazards not specific to those working construction-only jobs. Our OSHA 10-Hour Training course is designed to teach workplace safety and reduce jobsite hazards. Workers will learn about hazard avoidance\, workers’ rights\, filing an OSHA Complaint and more.\nWith successful completion of the class\, participants receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10- hour course completion card.

SUMMARY:Virtual - Annual Hazard-Communication Training "Hazwoper Basics"
DESCRIPTION:In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace\, information about the identities and hazards of the chemicals must be available and understandable to workers. OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the development and dissemination of such information:\n	Chemical manufacturers and importers are required to evaluate the hazards of the chemicals they produce or import\, and prepare labels and safety data sheets to convey the hazard information to their downstream customers;\n	All employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must have labels and safety data sheets for their exposed workers\, and train them to handle the chemicals appropriately.\nIn this course\, participants will receive an introduction to Hazardous Materials and become aware of issues that may arise in a manufacturing facility. Participants will learn about safety responsibility as it pertains to facilities\, equipment and to personal protection. This course makes participants aware of OSHA\, NJ-PEOSHA and NFPA regulations and standards.

SUMMARY:FSPCA Preventative Controls for Human Food
DESCRIPTION:FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course\nThe final rule for “Preventive Controls for Human Food” which was released in September 2015 to support the implementation of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requires food facilities to have a written food safety plan in place that includes an analysis of hazards and risk-based preventive controls to minimize or prevent the identified hazards. \nThe following course\, Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF)\, will go in depth with the requirements for Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls based food safety plan training. Participants will get familiar with all requirements of a Preventive Controls based food safety plan and how to design the plan. \nIn addition\, best practices and examples will be presented and participants can apply the freshly gained knowledge during practical exercises which show how to achieve compliance to the requirements. \nBy the end of the training course\, participants will be able to oversee or perform the following: \nCreating a Preventive Controls Food Safety Plan\nValidating preventive controls\nReviewing records for implementation and effectiveness\nReviewing corrective actions\nPerforming required re-analysis of the Food Safety Plan\nThe course\, developed by the FSCPA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by the FDA. This will be delivered by Lead Instructor (certificate #a37c4bbf) for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course. In addition to the FSPCA course completion requirements\, our delivery will require passing an exam\, then the participant will receive a certificate. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)”. \nThe course is designed for: \nManagers\nOwners\nOperators\nQuality Control Personnel\nFood Safety Personnel

SUMMARY:Food Defense
DESCRIPTION:Food Defense is the effort to protect food from acts of intentional adulteration. The FDA issued the final rule in May 2016 on mitigation strategies to protect food against “Intentional Adulteration”\, which requires applicable facilities to formulate and implement food defense plans. The purpose of the food defense plan is to prevent food products being adulterated from any source inside or outside the company. Such acts intended to cause wide-spread harm to public health\, including but not limited to acts of terrorism intending to target food supply\, could cause illness\, death and economic turmoil to the food supply. Implementing an effective food defense plan will allow for the prevention\, protection against\, mitigation\, response time and recovery from any intentional adulteration of our food supply. Furthermore\, food defense is already a requirement for all GFSI accredited Food Safety Management Systems (SQF\, BRC etc.).
