SUMMARY:Virtual - IMDG DANGEROUS GOODS TRANSPORTATION TRAINING
DESCRIPTION:IMDG DANGEROUS GOODS TRANSPORTATION TRAINING\nINTERNATIONAL MARITIME DANGEROUS GOODS CODE\nShipping Dangerous Goods by Sea\nThis course is designed to familiarize you with the most recent edition of the IMDG Code which is a two-volume book that covers various provisions for the safe maritime transport of dangerous goods. It will acquaint you both with the rules put forth by the IMDG Code and with the layout of the book itself.\nShipping dangerous goods requires many precautions\, even before setting sail. Exposure to hazardous materials (HAZMAT) can harm ecosystems\, damage property\, and cause long-term health problems\, immediate injury\, and death. That’s why it is so important for the maritime industry to properly pack\, label\, store\, load\, and track dangerous goods. Hazmat training helps the freight industry protect people and the environment.\nThis course certification meets the requirements set forth under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code). The training program meets all IMDG training requirements for shipping by sea.\nThis course is for:\nDockworkers\, longshoremen\, freight forwarders\, container packers\, port employees\, and other land-based ocean shipping professionals involved in transporting hazardous materials must understand relevant portions of the IMDG Code.

SUMMARY:Introduction and Overview of NJMEP's Supply Chain Training Series
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will offer an overview of the series of educational webinars defining and exploring the supply chain management business concept for small to medium size manufacturing organizations and their personnel.\nOrganizations no matter what size are involved in hundreds of supply chain processes requiring a cross-departmental and cross-organizational collaboration. Supply Chain Management is a new way of managing business focusing on processes from cradle-to-cradle or cradle-to-grave rather than on functions.\nThe term Supply Chain Management has been all over the news during the pandemic. It is critical that business leaders and their staff understand what it is\, how to implement it\, and how to manage supply chains.\nThis overview will explain what NJMEP’s Supply Chain series will offer participants and should be attened by all businesses that want a good understanding of the concept to begin introducing supply chain management into their organizations.

SUMMARY:DoD Cybersecurity - Are You Meeting Current CMMC Requirements?
DESCRIPTION:DoD Cybersecurity – Are You Meeting Current CMMC Requirements? \nJoin NJMEP for a brief webinar to discuss the current CMMC changes.\nLearn how these changes impact you and what you need to get DoD contracts\, including:\n• The notable changes to CMMC 2.0 and why they matter.\n• Your current DFARS Requirements\n• How DIB contractors can prepare for these upcoming changes.\n• Future planning to get\, and remain\, in compliance. \nEvery manufacturer in the Defense Industrial Base must be compliant with CMMC Version 2.0 Update within the next few months. The time is now to prepare for stricter data protection regulations that will be required in your contracts. This cyber security program not only is required for DoD business you will have an enhanced environment to gain the trust of customers and increase your revenue.\nThe CMMC 2.0 is the most recent version of the DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Built on a foundation of NIST SP 800-171\, the CMMC 2.0 establishes three certification levels that reflect the maturity and reliability of a company’s cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard sensitive government information on the contractors’ systems. Under CMMC\, a contractor must be certified to be eligible to bid on\, win or participate on a contract.\nWithout a valid CMMC certification the prime and/or sub will be barred from the contract (May 2023 is the target date for contract inclusion). Unlike previous requirements to be NIST SP 800-171 compliant\, under CMMC the contractor can NOT self-certify.
