SUMMARY:Food Recall & Withdrawals Online (November 2020)
DESCRIPTION:“A food recall is either a food manufacturer or suppliers’ voluntary response to a mislabeling\, or potential hazard by removing a product from the market place or it is mandated by the FDA in response to a food safety issue determined. The most common reasons for food recalls are allergen mislabeling and the presence of pathogens. Other reasons behind food recalls include incorrect packaging\, wrong food labels and physical contamination.\nThe importance of having a food recall plan is to ensure quick and efficient removal of affected products from the market plane and to allow the identification of key areas of needed improvement to prevent future hazards. Recall and withdrawal procedures are required for food manufacturers under the final FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule for “Preventative Controls for Human Foods for hazards requiring control.”

SUMMARY:Supervisory Skills - English
DESCRIPTION:5/10\, 5/11\, 5/17\, 5/18/23\nMoving into a position of authority means meeting new challenges\, taking on new responsibilities\, and mastering new skills. It may also mean learning to manage across cultural and language differences. New Managers can often be overwhelmed by new responsibilities and anxious about the transition from “coworker” to “boss.” \nWorkers who have recently become supervisors often worry about the way others will react to their new supervisor status … have concerns about keeping up with a tougher workload … and wonder how to handle the new tasks they will be faced with: hiring\, disciplinary action\, managing change\, even firing. \nA program to ease the transition … \nThis supervisory training course was specifically designed to address the needs of anyone who is new to managing others\, with a special focus on those managing in a multicultural workplace. The content of this course will provide a powerful new set of skills\, strategies\, and techniques for dealing with the issues you will encounter as you take on your new position and move forward in your career. \nYou will find out how to relate well to former peers who are now your subordinates\, and you’ll learn the communication skills that will help you handle these changing relationships in a way that’s comfortable for everyone. You’ll discover secrets for motivating and encouraging people to do their “personal best” for you and find out how to discipline firmly and fairly\, without creating resentment. This supervisory training will show you how to positively influence the behavior of your workers. \nIn this workshop you’ll learn:\nHow to communicate more effectively as a new supervisor\nWhen to be flexible\, and when to stand firm\nHow to build trust and gain respect\nStrategies for motivating others to achieve results\nThe truth about discipline — how to handle uncomfortable situations\nWhat every new supervisor and manager should know about hiring and firing\nTime management skills that really work\nAnd much\, much more!

SUMMARY:Positive Workforce Alternatives for NJ Manufacturers
DESCRIPTION:Finding and retaining talent continues to be a primary concern among manufacturers in New Jersey and across the nation. At ‘MADE in New Jersey’ Manufacturing Day 2022\, NJMEP hosted an incredible panel discussion that provided direct access to positive alternatives to the workforce challenge. The panel was made up of two organizations that engage with neurodiverse individuals and two that worked with the veteran\, and Army Reserve community\, including military spouses. Both groups can help bridge the current issue of the dwindling manufacturing talent pool. \nAt ‘MADE in New Jersey’ Manufacturing Day there was only a short opportunity to learn about these organizations and make the connection. Now\, this is your chance to hear case studies\, find out more details about how to engage\, and ask your questions directly to these workforce champions. \nJoin us for this no-cost discussion and start bridging that skills gap\, today. \n  \n\n\n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Company(Required)Address(Required) \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n \n State / Province / Region\n \n \n ZIP / Postal Code\n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCabo VerdeCambodiaCameroonCanadaCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n Website(Required)\n \n Phone(Required)Email(Required)

SUMMARY:OSHA 10-Hour Card Training
DESCRIPTION:5/11 8hrs + 5/12 4hrs\nDay 1: 8:30AM – 5PM \nDay 2: 8:30AM – 12:30PM \nOSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is responsible for worker safety and health protection. \nSince its inception in 1970\, OSHA has cut the work-fatality rate by more than half\, reduced the overall injury and illness rates in industries where OSHA has concentrated its attention\, virtually eliminated brown lung disease in the textile industry and reduced trenching and excavation fatalities by 35 percent. \nOSHA is administered through the Department of Labor (DOL). The DOL regulates and enforces more than 180 federal laws. These mandates and the regulations that implement them cover many workplace activities for about 10 million employers and 125 million workers. \nOSHA 10-hour training is the primary method used to train workers on hazard recognition and OSHA safety standards.  The OSHA 10-hour course for the general industry is for workers who have jobs related to health care\, electrical\, factory\, warehouse\, manufacturing\, storage and more. This OSHA course covers general industry hazards not specific to those working construction-only jobs.  Our OSHA 10-Hour Training course is designed to teach workplace safety and reduce jobsite hazards. Workers will learn about hazard avoidance\, workers’ rights\, filing an OSHA Complaint and more. \nWith successful completion of the class\, participants receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10- hour course completion card.
