SUMMARY:Food Recall & Withdrawals Online (November 2020)
DESCRIPTION:“A food recall is either a food manufacturer or suppliers’ voluntary response to a mislabeling\, or potential hazard by removing a product from the market place or it is mandated by the FDA in response to a food safety issue determined. The most common reasons for food recalls are allergen mislabeling and the presence of pathogens. Other reasons behind food recalls include incorrect packaging\, wrong food labels and physical contamination.\nThe importance of having a food recall plan is to ensure quick and efficient removal of affected products from the market plane and to allow the identification of key areas of needed improvement to prevent future hazards. Recall and withdrawal procedures are required for food manufacturers under the final FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule for “Preventative Controls for Human Foods for hazards requiring control.”

SUMMARY:Food Safety - SQF Practitioner Training - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:7/12\, 7/13\, 7/19\, 7/20/2023\nAs consumers become more self-educated about how products are being produced from product ingredients to safe food handling practices\, retailers are depending on suppliers to have food safety controls in place to give reassurance to consumers that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are effective and Food Safety Principles are being followed. This is when a Safe Quality Food Practitioner comes into place. A SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner is one who develops\, implements and maintains a SQF system for a supplier. \nThe participant will receive a certificate for successfully completion of the training after passing the written knowledge test at the end of the training class.

SUMMARY:Annual Hazard-Communication Training "Hazwoper Basics"
DESCRIPTION:In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace\, information about the identities and hazards of the chemicals must be available and understandable to workers. OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the development and dissemination of such information: \n\nChemical manufacturers and importers are required to evaluate the hazards of the chemicals they produce or import\, and prepare labels and safety data sheets to convey the hazard information to their downstream customers;\nAll employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must have labels and safety data sheets for their exposed workers\, and train them to handle the chemicals appropriately.\n\nIn this course\, participants will receive an introduction to Hazardous Materials and become aware of issues that may arise in a manufacturing facility. Participants will learn about safety responsibility as it pertains to facilities\, equipment\, and to personal protection. This course makes participants aware of OSHA\, NJ-PEOSHA\, and NFPA regulations and standards.

SUMMARY:Food Safety - PCQI - Preventive Controls for Human Food
DESCRIPTION:7/14\, 7/20\, 7/21\, 7/27\, 7/28/23\nThe Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation is intended to ensure safe manufacturing /processing\, packing\, and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States.  The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual”.  Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the FSMA Compliance requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual”. All companies that hold\, pack\, or manufacture food for human consumption are required to have at least one Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) per facility. The PCHF course will train your individuals to become PCQIs.

SUMMARY:Can I Sell My Business and How Much is it Worth?
DESCRIPTION:Absent a plan to create a sellable business\, most owners end up shutting down their businesses without selling or transitioning them to the next generation. Also\, most business owners fortunate enough to sell their business end up getting far less money than they expected. \nIt is important for you to understand whether your business is sellable and have an idea what it may be worth. We will share factors that will increase the likelihood of your business being attractive to a 3rd party and outline strategies for increasing the price they will pay. Topics covered include business sale statistics\, business buyer considerations\, valuation methodologies\, and value-building strategies.

SUMMARY:Lean Manufacturing - Introduction to Pull / Kanban Systems
DESCRIPTION:In this course\, participants will receive an introduction to Pull /Kanban Systems\, and the class will apply the learned Pull / Kanban principles to a specified area in the company. \nThis class will define a six-step methodology to implement Pull/Kanban Material Systems. In addition\, attendees will see the concepts in practice in repetitive and non-repetitive\, as well as seasonal demand applications.\nAttendees will learn to set-up point-of-use material storage\, interface pull systems with existing planning systems\, and set lot sizes based on capacity\, not economic order quantity theory. \nParticipants will experience firsthand the benefits of implementing Pull / Kanban systems\, which include: simplified processes\, fewer stock-outs\, less inventory\, lower space requirements\, higher productivity and greater flexibility in a specific area of the business.

SUMMARY:OSHA 10-Hour Card Training
DESCRIPTION:7/25\, 7/26/2023\n8:30AM – 5:00PM + 8:30AM – 12:30PM\nOSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is responsible for worker safety and health protection.\nSince its inception in 1970\, OSHA has cut the work-fatality rate by more than half\, reduced the overall injury and illness rates in industries where OSHA has concentrated its attention\, virtually eliminated brown lung disease in the textile industry and reduced trenching and excavation fatalities by 35 percent. \nOSHA is administered through the Department of Labor (DOL). The DOL regulates and enforces more than 180 federal laws. These mandates and the regulations that implement them cover many workplace activities for about 10 million employers and 125 million workers. \nOSHA 10-hour training is the primary method used to train workers on hazard recognition and OSHA safety standards. The OSHA 10-hour course for the general industry is for workers who have jobs related to health care\, electrical\, factory\, warehouse\, manufacturing\, storage and more. This OSHA course covers general industry hazards not specific to those working construction-only jobs. Our OSHA 10-Hour Training course is designed to teach workplace safety and reduce jobsite hazards.
