Upon completion of this three day course students will have a deep understanding on CNC milling setup and programing. This course will cover the following modules: 1. Milling Tools, Material. o Tool geometry, endmill types and uses o Material consideration in milling. Introduction to feeds and speeds 2. Mill Work Holding o Introduction to different types of work holding (vises, clamps, and magnetic plates) and their uses in CNC milling 3. CNC Mill setup o Familiarize the students with CNC Mill setup which includes reading and understanding the setup sheet, machine Power Up, jogging the machine, loading cutting tools in the tool changer, setting the work offsets, setting the tool length offset, loading, checking, and running the program 4. CNC Programing o Understanding absolute and incremental positioning o Introduction to CNC G codes (G00, G01) linear interpolation and circular interpolation o Preparatory G codes  Inch / Metric Selection (G20, G21)  Work Coordinate Selection (G54-59)  Tool Length Compensation (G43)  Reference point and return (G28)  Another way to return to machine zero (G53)  Circular Plane Selection (G17, G18, G19) o Miscellaneous M codes o Program format 5. Canned cycles o Drilling canned cycles o Circular pocket Milling 6. Cutter compensation (G40, G41, G42)" } ["sf_event_start_date"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(14) "March 13, 2023" } ["sf_event_start_time"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(13) "08:30:00.000Z" } ["sf_event_end_date"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(14) "March 13, 2023" } ["sf_event_end_time"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(13) "17:00:00.000Z" } ["sf_sync_id"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(5) "58045" } ["_sf_sync_id"]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(19) "field_620bbf9ab741e" } }
