Upon completion of this three-day course students will Become comfortable and capable with Basic CNC milling programming and setup. The following will be taught to the class as a series of operations on a two-piece assembly that they can personalize and take home.
1. Thorough safety instruction, proper start up procedures, and 3 axis movement
2. Geometric accuracy, vise installation procedure, and dial indicator usage.
3. Stop setting, work offset setting, and edge finder usage.
4. Tool setting, cutter compensation, program #1
5. Editing skills, program #2
6. Drilling canned cycles and variables, program #3
7. Milling canned cycles and variables, program #4 and #5
8. Circular interpretation, program #6 and #7
9. Project completion with final programming test."
