Peter has spent the past 40 years in the chemical, pharmaceutical and plastics industries. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY at Stony Brook, he has held positions of increasing responsibility from, Sales & Marketing Manager, Business Unit Director, Plant Manager, General Manager and CEO, for several Fortune 500 companies as well as his own company. He holds 7 US Patents as well as developing advanced manufacturing technologies for partially cross-linked elastomers and acoustical damping materials. He has experience in building and training successful sales and operational teams for both large and small businesses.
Robert is a Staff Engineer with the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP). Robert is currently leading New Jersey’s Offshore Wind efforts, in three areas; 1) Analyzing the OEM’s supply chain requirements. 2) Expansion of OSW workforce development and the required training and education. 3) Cataloging and accessing the capabilities of our in-state manufacturers for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 products.
Additionally, Robert is managing New Jersey’s Strategic Supply Chain (SSC) modernization efforts. This will help to address supply chain vulnerabilities for manufacturers. Since New Jersey is a supply chain state many of our suppliers are critical for America’s economic and national security.
Prior to joining NJMEP, Robert served as Chairman of Economic Development with a Science & Technology Congressional Research Compact created by The Presidents’ Science Advisor/ Director of the White House Office of S&T Policy (OSTP). The organization is a bipartisan collaboration among U.S. Congressional Members (8 Senators & 39 Congressmen).
Robert’s formal background is in the Aerospace & Defense Industry with over 20 years of experience. His tenure was with Fortune 10 companies: RCA Corporation, GE Aerospace, Martin Marietta Missiles & Defense and Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space. During that time, he developed disciplines in High Reliability Manufacturing, Spacecraft Systems Integration & Test, Concurrent Engineering Development and Lean Process Improvement.
