Jersey Guys Golf Part Trois: Your impact on New Jersey
This year’s Jersey Guys golf outing has come to a close and it was a tremendous success. With beautiful weather and an excellent turnout, there were nothing but smiles out on the green. Though fun was had, it’s important to remember the incredible result all who attended have helped achieve over the years, and the group making it all possible. The Team Eagle Foundation was created in 2010 with their LEDR program starting in 2012, all dedicated to providing scholarships for eager students entering college.
With donations going directly to the Team Eagle Foundation and New Jersey’s LEDR program, Jersey Guys golfers have contributed immensely to the future of New Jersey and its students. Thanks to the generous donations of manufacturers, industry advocates, and golfers, 250 young adults have gone through a week-long Mentoring & Leadership Program ($500 per attendee) at no cost to them.
Beyond enabling New Jersey’s youth to develop their leadership skills, over $90,000 in educational scholarships and grants will be donated in Anthony DeSantis and Bob Beaman’s name; True supporters of both the Team Leader Foundation and NJMEP’s fight for manufacturing in New Jersey.
The far-reaching benefits of the Jersey Guys golf outing don’t stop there. The total raised in donations topped $250,000 this year, with all of it going directly to the program. Over $1.2 million in additional scholarships for New Jersey’s young adults have been raised post-LEDR, and 27,000 hours of volunteer work have helped further NJMEP’s goal of supporting New Jersey and its future.
NJMEP and the Team LEDR foundation enjoy a day of golf, but leaving a lasting positive impact on our State is something we enjoy even more. We could not achieve such success without the help of individuals interested in the future of New Jersey and the Manufacturing Industry. We look forward to seeing you all on the course next year for the Jersey Guys Part Four
