Global trade is changing fast, and U.S. importers face a growing web of tariffs, trade
remedies, and compliance requirements. This session will provide an overview of the
U.S. import process, from key documents and customs clearance flow to HTS
classification, and country of origin.
We’ll take a deep dive into the current tariff environment, including:
• Section 232 steel and aluminum measures and their expanding scope
• Section 301 tariffs on China
• Reciprocal tariffs and IEEPA measures affecting global supply chains
This session will also provide a brief overview of the International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as key
requirements for complying with these regulations.
