Medical acquisition, manufacturing partnership, human resource contract.

Medical technology provider Becton, Dickinson & Co., in Franklin Lakes, announced Wednesday it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire syringe safety device manufacturer Safety Syringes Inc., in Carlsbad, Calif., to provide needle shields and guards for its customers.

The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program Inc., in Morris Plains, today announced it has formed a partnership with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service International Trade Administration to educate manufacturers in growing their businesses through exporting.

Human resource outsourcing provider Automatic Data Processing Inc., in Roseland, today announced it has signed a five-year contract with Reno, Nev., to provide human capital management services for the city’s 1,500 employees.
