Disaster Response and Food Safety Agency Responsibilities
Unknown to many, the underlying responsibility of the FDA and USDA during disasters is ensuring the safety of food in the affected areas. This includes visiting sites, issuing guidance documents, and press releases to media ensuring consumer safety are maintained during the crises.
